Our best chance for President — Elaine Walker. | CBS Red & Blue, OPINION
Over the past week, we’ve seen a lot of Presidential Candidates come and go. Robert Hawthorne, Ashcroft, Elaine Walker, Virgil Rickles, and John Rounds.
We’ve had Americans from far and wide call out for new leadership who’d give the White House a breath of fresh air.
You have Robert Hawthorne, whose campaign was doomed from the beginning with scandals left and right, from plagiarism to pre-determining who would serve in his cabinet, to a rocky town hall and rallies. He did not have an adequately prepared campaign and did not cross his Ts and dot his Is. Although, he did have a clear message and that was to build the foundation of the nation and focus on logistical issues like getting necessary departments established and running rather than roleplay issues such as healthcare, education, etc.
He had a decent message but ultimately failed to deliver that message for this election. In conclusion; he did not have a good team around him nor did he take proper care to build his campaign.
Then there’s John Rounds, who from the start had a very strong grassroots campaign with people like Senator Evan Ainsley serving on it. It had good and established roots, but five days after campaigning had begun, Rounds was yet to do a campaign event but showed up to every Hawthorne rally ready to criticize the Governor on Twitter.
He didn’t have any policies put out or any reason why he was running for President. He dropped out and endorsed Catherine Durant citing, “Lack of Time”.
Senator Ashcroft has had only one rally from the start of the campaign; that rally was received poorly. From his campaign stages to his unexciting speeches, it seemed like this campaign was not taking off in any direction.
He then dropped out and cited “fresh faces.”
We can say the same thing about Senator Virgil Rickles, who dropped out to endorse Catherine Durant.
There is a common theme among the Republican candidates for President — and it seems the only one to deft that pattern is Senator Catherine Durant, who’s the oldest member of the Senate Republican Caucus.
Senator Durant ran with an underdog campaign from the start. In many polls, she scored last place or tied with Senator Ashcroft — which isn’t any category you’d want to be in as a hopeful.
With the endorsement of Rounds, that’s when Durant took off and became the Republican front-runner for President.
We have inside sources about the announcement Representative Elaine Walker is going to make and it’s not good news for Senator Durant.
We have anonymous sources who tell us the following:
“I’ve known Cathy Durant for a while.. I’ve served with Cathy Durant. They’re a great person but they’re not capable of being President. There is a lot to being President of our Country and from my experience with Durant they don’t have the temperament, time, or patience to be Commander-in-Chief. “
“Cathy? As President? Give me a break. We’ve already seen enough with President Trumm. Our country needs someone who’s experienced and level-headed.”
“Cathy’s a hot-head. N’uff Said.”
From these three anonymous sources, who we have verified are Republican and Independent we can now put together a theme among voters that are distant from Cathy. They just don’t know her and we don’t know if she has the temperament to be President. We’ve suffered from President Trumm’s leadership, and we don’t need to elect leadership that is unstable, reckless, and unpredictable — all the things used to describe Cathy Durant.
I believe that there is someone we can rely on to build a coalition of Democrats, Progressives, Independents, and Republicans.
That person is Elaine Walker.
Elaine Walker is an effective leader and a gracious person. She has championed progressive and moderate issues in the past and I believe she will do exactly that in the White House.
None of the Candidates on the Republican or Democratic side bring anything new or exciting to the table — Elaine does.
If we’re going to take a chance of fresh air, then let’s do it on someone who has a lick of experience in likability in both Democrats and Republicans and get to work in rebuilding our country.
